The Return of The Goonies Rumour has it that The Goonies is to return with a sequel in the form of The Goonies 2. Moviehole is the website to have originally leaked this information, and it would seem that the writing process has already begun. Will it just be a direct-to-DVD duff though? Apparently not, it will be given a full scale theatrical release providing that all goes to plan and we shall all get a chance to see the wonderful new film that is Goonies 2. I'm a massive fan of the original Goonies film and can't wait to see how the new film will pan out. It was 1985 when the original film emerged, it has been an awful long while now since the release of the first film and only time shall tell as to whether the sequel will live up to the quality of the original and the high level of expectation which shall surely surround it. Are you as excited as I am? Keep your eyes peeled for further updates on this one.  |
